So people are selling cars just to Farmer now, Classic Davo.
On another note there is a 79 Luv 4x4 near Bendigo for $750 on Gumtree doesn't seem to bad.

Yeaaaah, well its an Isuzu, and its cheap, so it would suit Farmer! ;)

And look! This one is in Young! Thats like, 70ks away! Hmmm, .......if its early enough, it will be Florian motored........hmmmmm. I don't have a Luv........

Tracy read this and suggested I might be going on "Farmer wants a Wife"! :?
Oh dear. :|

Cheers, Matt.

I think the Young luv would be a wrecking only vehicle by the look of it!
It is an early one which means it should be a G161 not a G161z but a latter series the the Australian delivered Florian.
SA Dave has one in his red ratter and it goes pretty well!
If its was closer it would be a good parts car for me as it look like it has its heater!!

It would be interesting to see how far they got with the conversion. You would think it would be a fairly easy conversion compared to some considering the utes are based an a 2 rail chassis that everything is mounted to.

Hey Josh, do you want me to go see about the Young Luv? I could pick it up, store it and send you the heater.
I'm in Sydney this week, but home next. If you want to buy it, I can pick it up. Whaddyareckon?
Cheers, Matt.

See, its probably ok if its not mine! ;)
A g161 might be handy some day, and the tray might be useful too. If so and you don't need them, I'd buy them off you.
Whatever you like, mate. I can find a spot behind the shed. :D

Cheers, matt.

That would be amazing Matt, am trying to get a photo of the engine and tray to confirm
condition and that its a G161 not a Z. Both are yours if you want them.
Got photos.

Ah-ha, definately a G161.
Ok mate, so if you want to go for it, do so. I can borrow a trailer, pick it up & put it behind the shed. I'll get the heater and anything else you want out and post them over.
Sometime I'll try the motor to see if its OK. There looks to be some rust there, but there are bound to be other bits that are useful.
Cheers mate,
Matt.

Yeah mate, we most certainly are. And we will have 2 boots, so plenty of space. No worries, if that suits you.
Cheers, Matt.

Theres a spot behind the shed, but too wet to get to at the minute! This is also a good thing, cause it means water is running into the dam. :D

Heater is intact, as are most things, but the seat, and no jack. 10/74 model, still with G161 and column shifter.
Will it be a goer? Just need a fine day! ;)

Goodonya Josh!
Cheers, Matt.

Having some sunny weather, so I had a play with the Luv. Its a goer!! :D
They always go! ;)
OK, I had to siphon the old fuel out of the tank, (no fuel cap) clean the plugs and prime the carbie.
But then turned the key and its running sweet. No rattles, no smoke, no drama! Tomorrow I might go for a run around the paddock! Spare Florian motor! Yeaaaaaaah! :o

Goodonya Josh!
Cheers, Matt.
