Great looking car.

Appears to have pretty fresh paint though. (engine bay dirty, under bonnet clean, rubber bump stops on guards painted over?)

Its a long story. I will cut it down a little but here goes.
The car was offered to Liz and we declined it. At this stage I can say I noticed the black badge and the arrows and so forth. The thing is I knew of Keith as did other qlders and was aware that other cars had been used for parts. I also knew that one was a teardrop as fast64 had the leftovers the teardrop and the gold coast car on ebay the interior came from. So if it was a genuine early was not confirmed at this stage.
The only time I seen this car was at a car show the bonnet was closed most of the time. We were in a large group it was bloody hot and we were in the shade. I never bothered much to go over the car as Keith had came to share our shade.
Saturday week it was common knowledge that Gunna was going for a run in goldie and Russ joined us as it was advertised on the forum, Out of curiosity Gunna rang Keith for a viewing and this is where we turned up after lunch. We had a look at the ol girl and some of Keiths other collections. Including the parts that still existed at the time including a late model deluxe had been in Keith's possession at some stage. I did discreetly feel the towers and the left tower was   enough said.
I mentioned that I have met and known Keith on and off for a long time and to think he was dishonest did not match his character the other two parties were also aware of the  nothing was said.
As none of us were there to buy the car just looking I decided it was best let unsaid this way if the car sold on ebay and keith was genuine it would be a surprise and better handled if challenged. It was not for me to plaster this on the forum either. My thoughts were if it did not sell I would tell Keith it is there. I never got around to this.
A few days later I received a phone call from fast64. I need a late model windscreen I said I don't know if I have 1, I will look but keith wrecked a late model I suggest you ring him and see if he will part with it. Fast64 and I have a strong parts swapping affair, and in passing conversation a few days earlier when he had a issue with the orange sedan the conversation lead to the blue car I told him the  issue and he asked if I told Keith? I told him why I did not and was intending to do so with a discrete email as I was not in the market for it I wanted to explain it was not a ploy to get the car cheaper. Time went by and I did not get around to doing this.
fast64 the made the trip to Toowoomba for the screen while he was there he was under the impression that he had been told and dropped the bomb. This was at night Keith did not take it serious and it was forgotten about until lunch time Thursday Keith went down to the shed and after a while he thought about the comment and checked the statement and  :o .
My phone rang Keith identified himself and asked why I said nothing I told him why and it was a respect thing that became awkward as it was. Keith was devastated as the car was in a workshop for three years to be done properly and as suspected he was not aware of the . And quote I am absolutely ####### gutted. I apologized for not saying anything to him and I should have before a innocent 3rd party did. Keith said I am absolutely devastated and was over it. I have no intension to continue to repairs the car and I want you to have it and finish it and offered the car to me at a price that sent it in my shed real quick.
This is a long short story but this is how it is now in my shed. 8-)

Good on you Greg, at least it has gone to someone who can, and will fix the problems with it!
It is in the right garage.
Thank you.
