We took the 2024 Nats back to basics and decided there would be no trophies awarded for cars. It was more about hanging out with mates, going on good driving roads and enjoying a relaxed weekend
We awarded a Hosts Choice and the traditional Spirit of the Nationals awards instead.
Hosts Award: Tom ...

Craig.... you mean the mould you own that everyone else has decided they can use without thanks?
I want a 4.11. Already got 2x 4.56's.
I'm surprised that car has a 4.56 in it again. It had a 3.9 LSD when it was down here.

Re: Bellett Championship

The car did the heavy lifting this year. I had enough battles with hospital visits.... was discharged 2 days before one event but we still got a 2nd place.
The mods done during the year made a difference tho. Now building a new engine for it and some other stuff.

Bellett Championship

Had another run in the Victorian Hillclimb Championship this year. Series was cut from 7 rounds to 4 due to restrictions.
We ran every round, won one of them, scored points at every round and set a new PB at every track.
Now crowned 2021 Victorian Hillclimb Champion as a result. Is now a 2 time ...

Re: Bellett Nationals 2021

Vaccinations make no difference to travel arrangements.
If you're coming from an area that's deemed a no go zone you'll have to quarantine for 14 days whether you've been jabbed or not.

Re: Parcel Trays under the Glovebox

All had a heater of sorts. Standard sedans had a blow thru heat exchanger type of arrangement but no fan.
All late deluxe sedans had the same 2 speed fan attached to the exchanger as the GT's with the switch as part of the lower control.

That's about the going rate for a nice sedan these days.
Another went for 7500 a few weeks earlier and yet another will go for a minimum of 7000 within a week.

Re: Parcel Trays under the Glovebox

Every PR91 GT that was Aust delivered had one. Guaranteed.
Never seen one in a sedan, even a Deluxe. Doesn't mean pre 69 cars didn't have them tho. I've just never looked
Can also guarantee that 69 Deluxes did not have them tho.

10 years ago today we lost a great mate.
R.I.P. Ken Bloor.

Just realised while having some lunch and now pausing to remember but honestly can't believe it's been a decade since my phone rang that day.

Peace out Bellett heads.
