Jumping on the GT bandwagon

Post by Stickman »

There are so many GT's changing hands and coming out of the woodwork of late that I thought it was high time I jumped on the bandwagon 8-)

I was browsing Gumtree about 6 months ago and came across some Bellett taillights that looked in really good nic so I msg'd the seller (who just so happened to be forum member Skeeta Grimshaw) re postage and payment. Money was transferred and taillights were sent and received hassle free.

I didn't really have any need for the taillights as I don't even own a car that has the square lights........ but I'm a big believer in grabbing anything Bellett I find while it's there, that way they don't get dumped or binned by people innocently thinking there is no one who will ever want them. I may have had no use for them but someone in the "family" at some stage might so I bought them to save them for that just incase one day maybe.

But the past couple of months with all this GT here, GT there, GT flippin' everywhere action got me to realizing that I'm missing out on all the fun :o

Soooooo I have decided to GET ONE TOO

So far I am missing a "few" parts for the resto but what GT owner isn't...... but what I do have for it is some really tidy taillights

That's a good start Geoff,

Don't forget there are a lot of parts common to both sedan and GT ;) to start building one with parts.

Hey, what will you call the GT when you acquire one.....RACING STRIPES!

I might add there could be an idle pink GT sitting around. ;)

:) As Lewis said there could be an idle Pink GT sitting around :roll:Offers in but no cash yet :? Could be known as Pinky the Pig in the paddock with the Donkey awaiting a new heart,LET THE FARM BELLETTS BREED,would be hard to match a TEAR DROP as so many GT's around,Potter's Blood Orange would have to be a bargain!if it was a TEAR DROP could I get another one :?all these sheds getting built going to need one soon, with all this stuff coming out of the wood work, :o Gerry

These are the rims I picked up yesterday
I will have to change the 2 tyres as they are a little too wide for the offset (tyres hit the guard) but when I get my other rims that I'm having widened to 7" back I will fit them to those.

And the Cufflinks of course...... to compliment the Sunday driving apparel

How long of a distance?? Sorry, but even from here I cant see it, and thats about 1100ks!
Perhaps if I were in England.....
A bit like saying a 73 Falcon hardtop looks liķe a HT Monaro.......Yeah, same car. (Closer likeness actually.)

Not to dis a Marina coupe, I know you are a fan.
Focus! $1100 will buy you a lot more bits for the GT!
:P Matt.
