Hey PomB
Haven't conversed for some time and thanks for taking the time to post such good photos on historic cars go on the site. I was interested in the photo of you making room for the Gt Cortina.
Don't worry, it is a cheap and nasty two door, whereas you have a real four door sports sedan. There are heaps of 2 door Cortinas here in Tassie but whenever I take the four door Bullett (not a typo) people always turn their heads. And those in the know say: "Wow, she's a double wishbone front end - that's tough stuff !!"

Thanks for keeping us updated
Bellett SEDANS are proof that the gods love us and want us to be happy.

Cheers Stickdate, and good to hear from you Yellow........check this out....we've been accepted for a really important international classic race at Spa :D

Have a look at this http://www.spa-classic.com/ click down on the bottom right for 'all grids' we'll be on the 'classic endurance T1' grid. I can't tell you how thrilled I am.

I didn't think we'd get in without any official FIA papers, but I E Mailed the organisers anyway with a brief story of Rolie and some pictures, and they've decided to make an exception for us. Evidently a rare Isuzu Bellett was too much of a draw for them to resist.
I think I may have to re-mortgage the house to do it, but it's all in a good cause isn't it?

Can't wait to see what we've got at Goodwood now.

Just back from a cold but bright wintery day at Goodwood, where Rolie performed very well. Looking at my pace at the Revival 2011, I reckon we've gained a couple of seconds, but we can't be completely sure as it was only really a fairly casual test.
More importantly the right people got to see the car in the right circumstances.

It's Lotus Cortina's 50th anniversary this year, so I've heard there'll be plenty of these coming out of the woodwork.

This is my mate Simon at the wheel. I used to race an Alfa with him, and he's put his hand up to be second driver at Spa. Trouble is he's a big old unit, and we weren't sure whether he could drive the thing or not. But after folding him into the seat and several promises to loose weight, he's decided it's a very fine little car.

I've just received this shot of Rolie in action at the Goodwood test. I'm quite pleased with this one.

Just a trick of the light Oz. Rolie still remains untouched by either bank, barrier or competitor.
Hope it stays that way, but of course it's inevitable that at some stage his good looks will be spoilt, just hope it's not permanant....

Mark.
Have you been talking to Ian Botham.??
If he had to fill out a detailed essay before a game. They would still be in the dressing room
on day 3. One colourfull gentleman that graced the cricket pitch. I dare say he would have some
equal amount of players around the world.
Remember to finish your homework essay and hand it in before your next race.
Honourable Japanese Race Official say. "No handee in essay. No raceey".

Keep up the good work. Very interested in the technical engine upgrade. Have same engine in my convertible.

Yes good old Beefy....the opinionated old bugger still graces our TV screens back here in Pomland.

I thought some of you might like reading this early press release for the Spa race, they seem fairly excited about the Bellett's unusualness.

Looking great Mark and nice to see the mention of the 'super rare' Bellett.

I went to a car show here to day and was parked next to a Cadillac Eldorado (FWD by the way). Could just about fit the Bellett in his engine bay !
The interesting part of the day was when a guy came up and was taking lots of pictures of my car, including close ups of some parts. Turns out he is Russian and knows the cars. He said there are a few Belletts in Russia !

A number of Anglias, Cortina 440's etc at the show too. No GT's or twin cams though.

Believe or not Glen I took Rolie to a show on the weekend as well, it's not something I'd normally do, but it was at my home patch....Goodwood, and it was titled 'Sushi Sunday'...a Japanese car special.
I took some pictures, which I'll put on a new post.
But it turns out it was worth the trip, as we've increased the Bellett profile over here a little more when a weekly classic car paper did a little report.

Their dates are wrong, but as you know journos never let the facts get in the way of a good story.
