Hey there,

A number of people on this forum and in the Bellett world know me already.
Obsessed with all things Prince and Skyline, i have always had a soft spot for a Bellett GT. 8-)

Well in April last year (2018), i happened to add one to the stable which was purchased locally here in Victoria. It is the only non-Prince/Nissan/Datsun in my collection but one that i am rapt and proud to own!
The car is certainly not 100% original as you can see from the pictures, but, it is a complete car with quite a good interior. The car has literally been parked up since 1983, so after 35 years in a shed, i dragged it out, took a few pictures of it covered in a blanket of dust, went through a car wash on the way back home and spent all of $2- to see for the first time what i really had got myself into under all of that dirt...

Enough for now..some on here already know, but thought i should show my face (car) to the wider enthusiast community :)

Well done and welcome to the Bellett Family. I hope it all cleans up just as good as the car wash.

A great barn find!!

What are the plans for it?

I might have one of those missing headlight surrounds.

Hey Glenn - Plans....well....err.....ummm.....I'm in the early stages of another Prince GT resto first off, so am just evaluating what the Bellett needs at the moment. It was parked up in 1983 for some mechanical reason. Head has been lifted but placed back down...perhaps just head gasket, i'm not sure. I haven't lifted it to look further. I'm working oon the assumption that an engine rebuild is likely, so will basically start getting things together that are needed to get the car up and running. Overall, will tidy up with a new whisk of paint and get it on road. Keeping my eyes open in Japan for wheels to suit already...Likely all to be happening concurrently with a Prince/Hako

KB - You and me both alike  The shed is a lot more organised since you were last here. A few new toys of course...It is unlikely i will extend the collection to the tractor path with you though!! :)

I thought that a 1972 Kubota L210 (first Japanese Kubota tractor to be marketed in Australia ) might be just the bait to tempt you...…..It got me......

Blown head gaskets were pretty common i think. Of all the cars I had, several were bought with blown gaskets. As you probably know, most GT motors are rebuilt using Gemini 1600 pistons and rods..... starting to get hard to find, so if you come across them, buy. You might like to see if you can get gasket sets out of japan too.
