If you'd like to see some original shots from the Bathurst 1000 of 1973, take a look at some I've loaded up to Flickr

No Belletts, but some Japanese. I took these pics myself, I did crowd control on Pit Straight that year.

Re: Bathurst 1973
Much enjoyed the 'ol shots of Bathurst, Vic, as I grew up following the race as a youngster. My, my...haven't things changed over the years. Only a 2 horse race these days, and it's only the badge on the grille separating them !!
However, serves a mention to say the lion has roared on the mountain once again this weekend....hahahahah (for those who didn't know, or don't want to know)
Cheers, B

Those photos were fantastic, Vic.
Thanks very much for sharing them. Seems they arent allowed to advertise Winfield at motoring events anymore?
But it sure was the old days of "seat of the pants racing". Some of the old video's of Bathurst and Phillip Island are really good watching too.

Top shots Vic!
For some reason, I want a Winfield. Weird.
Cheers,
Dave

Looks like the driver in the #34 RX2 is reaching over to the passenger side for the UBD
