Hi members
I thought I'd post this one for you all. A 1972 Mark 1 Triumph Stag. Bought as a wreck but fortunately a (mostly) complete wreck with low miles. About 400 hours spent on resto for my wife's birthday as depicted on number plate.

Nice work. Looking after the young Lady. It's good she's into the classics.
The Stag has a nice style about it, & would have to be a fair investment.
Cheers, Matt.

Thanks Matt.
The Stag is often maligned by the popular media on the basis of the engine ( which was originally at least understandable) but when one gets to work on them they will find a very well engineered, smooth V8 which is willing to rev very nicely due to the oversquare configuration
of the engine and the "bucket" operation of the valves. I drove myself crazy getting the correct shim thicknesses when rebuilding the head, not to mention taking two days to remove 10 head studs so could get the heads off!

Quirky but true! Does that mean if you rebuild the Stag's V8 velly qurickly, you fall in love with a Bellett engine???
