I must say that I signed up to promote this event here for you all, I am quite impressed that you have beaten me to it by a week!

Thankyou for your support, I hope to see a few of you there.

Cheers,
Luke.

Ahh, you have the inside scoop, well played sir! :)

Great to hear about numbers, bring them on! I do have to add a small disclaimer for the event, hope it's not a big drama for anyone.

***PLEASE NOTE***

If you intend to enter your car into the display area, we (TCCAV) ask that you stay for the full duration of the show. If you are unable to stay the four-hours, we ask that you park outside the show area. We also run a 'park as they arrive' format & will not be separating cars by manufacturer etc.

If you would like to park together as a group, we recommend a pre-meet somewhere so that you can arrive as a group & park together. This is a static car show, meaning that once parked vehicles will not be permitted to move around the show area. There will be many pedestrians in the area & by minimizing vehicular traffic, we can keep things safer for everybody.

all cool with us Luke.
4 hours is barely enuf to look around anyway, so that's no dramas coz we'll be looking and chatting for longer than that!
we agree that the 'park as u arrive' idea is best. separating the cars by make just doesn't work.... it means the Nissan guys stay with the Nissans, the Toyota guys stay with the Toyotas, the Isuzu guys stay with the Isuzus.... etc.... which means nobody mixes and enjoys the whole Japanese experience.
the AOMC flop of Feb 2012 proved that once and for all.
we'll be arriving as a group again, as we have the last few years, so i'll set up a meet point closer to the date.

as always, us Bellett-heads, both from the Bellett Car Club of Vic. and bellett.net are proud to support the TCCA(V) and the Classic Japanese Day, and if there's anything we can do to help out and/or make the event even better than the last 2 years, just let us know!

cheers.

Hey guys,

Got the time off and approved; I'll be coming to this!

What does one need to enter the show?

Or do you just roll up?

Cheers,

Dave

Looking forward to this one.

some pics of last years, from the organising Toyota Club. Most of our Belletts in there:

Dave, i think you just have to rock up and pay the $5 donation. From above, i think the BCCV will arrive as a group, which I prefer.
I guess there will be a BCCV newsletter out before then, and also some more news on this page for details.

38 Days to go, just sayin'...

...that I have no chance of Blue Thing having a new heart in time. *sigh*

However, I do hope that all of you have made much better progress than I have. If not, better step on it because. THIS. WILL. BE. AWESOME.

P.S - My apologies for being so dormant here, my memory is prone to...not working.... Feeling good to see so much support, looking forward to seeing you there! Oh, I'll have a little treat for you all soon! ;)

Well done if you can get 3 Belletts there, Brett.

For those who may wish to come with us, we meet at the Burvale Hotel, (N.E. Cnr Springvale Rd. and Burwood Highway) at 7:30am  so we can procede to the show together, to enter as a Club.

will only be 2 now mate. the 3rd one just won't be done in time (the Reynolds/Ferguson car), so the 'normal' 2 get the nod.
i'll put the Honda on the back of the Wasp for the occasion too tho.

7:30 is early for a Sunday morn, but we have no choice if we want to park together, because we have to be in by 9am, and it's just a 'roll up and park' type of event, so if we just arrive whenever, we'll be all over the place or might not get in if it's after 9 that we arrive anyway.

i'll be send a reminder email out today about the CJD too.
cheers.

Would have been nice to see the new 'race car' there though. But good effort to get two anyway.
We have 90 minutes to get to Como.... thats a very slow drive .... (Maybe a Police blitz is on ;) eg One of the neigbours just took delivery of a new supercharged HSV GTS....... already has a speeding ticket ! )

{I think i fixed my Sport clunking, backed off the handbrake a bit more. I still need to find the size of the diff input oil seal though....}

email just sent.

we'll leave about 8am, but as u know, that could be later if some are running late, and i'd rather be safe than sorry with our meeting and arrival times.

it turns out that I only have 2 drivers for the day now anyway, so even if I did have 3 cars ready, it'd be just a tad hard to get them all there! am aiming for the PI Historics in early March as the latest to have the 'race' car don now, but should be earlier. might get it done for the AGM in Feb if I can, but time will tell.
bloody life just keeps getting in the way of important Bellett stuff....

glad u found the clunk. aren't near on 50 year old cars a joy to play with sometimes!

I'm a bit past working on them but things have to be done ! Prefer driving, although near 50yo cars (even Belletts) take some care...... eg brakes are not quite up to modern standards :)

Whats happening to the Prince group ? It would be nice if we could all arrive together.

definitly the Flo Gricey. we've never had one at the event before, and i guarantee u'll have the only one this year too.
will mean we have at least one of each model there too (GT sedan Wasp and Flo).
anyway... GT's are common as mud these days mate. that's another reason i should have finished the Reynolds Ferguson car by now!
