Went to a car show in Pakenham today. Cloudy day but fine. I did text a few BCCV members to go, but no replies so went off on my own.
I have no idea who organised this (free) show but VicRoads were handing out flyers for a big show in Bendigo in June to celebrate 100 years. Show was well set up, with a band, food stalls, various trade stands etc.
I stayed a couple of hours in the morning and estimate there were over 200 cars there. And still arriving. All sorts of makes and models and some not seen for a long time. Even saw one of the 1st cars I ever owned, a V8 Holden Premier there. Immaculate and even the same colour.
I was parked next to a Cadillac Eldorado (FWD by the way, based on the Toronado). Could just about fit the Bellett in his engine bay ! This car had 12,000 original miles on it and looked it too.
The interesting part of the day was when a guy came up, and was taking lots of pictures of my car, including close ups of badges etc. Turns out he is Russian and knows the cars. He said there are a few Belletts in Russia !
A few people walked by and said, "oh a Bellett". One guy told me of a GT for sale for $150 a few years ago that he passed on.
The pic. of a row of cars was only a small part of it.

What really intrigues me is the numbers on the "H" plates. I saw plates over 22000 and mine is over20000.
Does that mean there are 22,000 cars on H plates in Victoria.........If allocated sequently, it shows the extent of the hobby car movement in this state and I presume others are similar too.

Looks great Glenn, pity you were there on your own.
Not sure what the count of Conditional Regoed cars in NSW is, my number is well over the 25,000 also, in saying that I doubt they would have started at 00001 in any State?????
Who knows???
Dave.

Great pics Glenn your car looks fantastic. I will pm you my number in case you head out to another show.
One of my all time favorite threads on this forum was by a guy a few years who had a 2 door sedan/sport of some sort in Vladivostok. They definitely turn up in some weird spots.

funny how these cars pop up in most unexpected places!
That one would make a nice car. Seems in fairly good nick.
