hi guys just curious as to what you use to clean under the bonnett?
i have been trying to clean under the bonnett of my florian and so far it still looks reasonably ordinary, i have degreased the engine, and am fairly happy with that, but the inner gaurds have rust coloured stains that are refusing to budge at the moment, so far i have used degreaser left for a while then hosed of, degreaser then scrubbed and then hosed off, then some reasonably heavy duty car/truck wash, but still cant move the stains!
Im not after show stopping eat your dinner off the engine type finish just a clean looking bay.
any tips?
cheers

Try soapy steel wool but go a little easy as it can wear the paint off. It will take the surface off the paint but it can be resurrected with a light cutting compound and finish with a light polish.Stains in the engine bay are often baked on by engine heat. The ammonia in heavy degreasers and truck wash's will bleach the paint if left for too long or left to dry without rinsing.

Hi Mr Flibb,
I have had ok results using CT18 truckwash, then the Gerni. Next most agressive would be a microfibre cloth & neat CT18, Next would be Jif cream, next would be water rubbing compound.
The wet soapy steelo could be good, but watch the ridges as you could go straight through.
Cheers, Matt.
