A story often told...

Post by Farmer »

A couple of years ago, Tracy and I were at her work (teacher) Christmas dinner. One of her workmates comes over and says "I hear you have a Bellett". Well, a couple actually, I reply. So he tells me that for many years when he was young their family car was a Bellett, and his best travelling memories are of being in that car. The sparkle in his eye tells me some day he will come looking for one. He has my address.

He changed schools this year, and now teaches Rhys. So today he comes home and hands me this from Mr Duncan....

Seems he was cleaning up some stuff, and found it. Ok, its a plastic version, and broken in half, but the thing to note is he kept it. Its all the Bellett he has, and he gave it to me, just so it can be part of a Bellett again.
They are only cars, but they hold memories of happy times for people. Thats the nice thing.

And when you easily loose your memories, it's a great way to bring back your past. Tell Mr. D he has my appreciation as well. Thanks for the story Matt.
