Who owns it?

Post by Stickman »

Hello my esteemed Bellettians,

I have been told of a blue Bellett sedan in the Greenbank area (QLD) that I'm curious to find out if anyone either on the forum owns it or is aware of who is its owner. I don't know if this is the right thread to put it under but as it is a general inquiry I'm having a chat about it seems to fit. Anywho, just wonder if it is owned by anyone in the family or can I go and hassel them? I promise I won't hassel them to sell, just hassel for a chat and a cup of tea. ;)

I believe it is a light blue sedan approx 67? 68? maybe???

Anyone know of it?

Hi there OZ,

Brakes are still at my mates for sleaving. I told Glen not to rush them through as he has way too much on his plate to be pulling me favours every time I go to him. Should have them sorted early in the new year. Car is off the road as of this week anyway for engine swap so no hassel to me if they take a little while longer. I'm getting 2 sets of fronts done and 1 set of rears then a second set of rears once the others are back. I'll only be using the 1 set of fronts as the teardrop is getting disc front at same time as new engine (all out of my 69) so see the PM sent as regards the 2nd set of fronts.

Hi Stickman
It could be an ex Victorian car, If it is the one Im thinking of it is a 69 model and was for sale down here on ebay
before the owner went to Qld to live, and I am unsure if he took the car with him or not. Good luck with the hassleing and the cuppa.
Keep on Belletting Dude, Regards Steve and Peg :ugeek:

Nice post there and good memory, Steve and Peg.

But that 69 Deluxe in Polynesian Blue came back to its original home in SA.

It has been to last years All Japanese Day and will also be going to this year's Day in late Feb.

I still haven't found the car yet as I was only given vague directions from a truck driver who pops into work every so often.
It's not likely that he has miss identified it for something else either as he has owned Belletts before and and actually made the owners an offer on it already. Apparently not a high one though as he was hoping to get it for next to nothing. Keeps offering me peanuts for the green machine too.(mmmm tasty peanuts)
I should be over that side of town in another couple of weeks so I'll keep a sharp eye out for it again. Might even ask a few locals if they have any idea where it lives.

Hi Waldo,
If you've only moved in the last 6 months or so then it's possible but the impression I get from this truck driver is that it's a sedan and it's still there. I still have'nt found it though so who knows, it could have been your GT he was refering to. I only saw the trucki this week and he asks me every time if I want to give up the tear drop.
