The sporty Bellett looks pretty sleek when an artist draws it, that's for sure!
Importantly, the advert shows the release date of the Bellett as 21 August 1964... so if you've got one delivered before that... it was pretty early!

The Mitsubishi Colt was released on the same day and was a full 4 pounds cheaper per week! Why did we not buy a Colt? Oh yeah, no IRS to turf us into the undergrowth at the first sign of a mid-corner brake application! How stupid of me.
The guy in the drawing... he's either a midget or that picture was done in some kind of forced perspective, because that Colt is not very big.
I love the little Colt sedan. That huge grille dwarfs that of the Bellett and looks like a Philishave! Awesome!
