Just to pitch in, the tear drop that Dave and I had as our second Bellett (Dark blue one) had that strap and I recon that the one I sold to Bartron (not on here) also has it.
Makes sense it's an early item, none of the later stuff has it and it seems to be a bit pointless really?

WONDER IF THEY DID HELP THOSE OLD RADIOS?? GUESS WITH THE LITTLE REAR PARCEL TRAY SPEAKER WOULDNT HAVE MATTERED . MUCH .HARDLY A JBL OR EV SYSTEM CHEERS DAVO ...I WILL STORE THE STRAPS AS I HAVE A LATER MOTOR WITH ALTERNATOR ANYWAY
