Station wagon

Bellett station wagon, purple with twin su's, at a car yard in Morphvale South Australia.

Not sure on price or condition.

Be quick, it was still there in 1982

Many thanks to the guy at Lowood servo who briefed me on it tonight.

Hmmmmm..... I've been told about all sorts of "Belletts" seen around, especially years ago, and 99% of them were all cases of mistaken identity.
RT40 Corona's were the likely subject most times too.
Until someone has a pic, I personally put this in the same file. Sorry to be a sceptic.

Yep, I was specticalized as well but old mate once owned a Bellett sedan himself at the tender age of 18 and his dad had a number of them as well.

They both saw it at the car yard (twice) his dad "almost" bought it after a second inspection. Who's to say why he didn't?

But your probably right, just a story of misunderstanding. It was probably an Alfa Romeo.

Did I ever mention the florian station wagon I wrecked back in 1996 cause I didn't have a clue what its significance was. ;)

There was a privately imported Express north of Townsville that I personally have seen (was about 2002 when I saw it)
An elderly Japanese gentleman brought it here with him when he moved to live with his daughter and son inlaw after his wife died, he had owned it from new.
I asked if he would consider selling it but his daughter said (she was his translator for me) that as far as he was concerned he would be buried in it.
I stopped in again a couple of years later but they had moved...... somewhere "down south"

The one I saw however was blue (like the wasp)
