I am putting up for sale my 1964 Teardrop Bellett, my 1966 Bellett, a Teardrop parts car (or to restore if you are game) , more than a shed load of spare parts, a car load of heavy parts, and many other bits I have stored.
Asking around $9000 for the lot. Would like to sell them as one lot but would separate if necessary.
I have not sorted anything out yet, just giving a heads up to anyone who may be interested.
From memory and a quick look in the parts sheds there are:
1964/65 Teardrop Bellett- 4 speed manual with extractors . Runs and drives and has a good body with minimal rust .Has usual brake issues. Needs a tune as has not been registered for 20 years.Original seats have been retrimmed with cloth inserts.
Could be registered with minimal work as it is.
1966 Bellett- automatic, only had 1 registered owner since new (bought from deceased estate). Has had patch ups and some repairs over the years. Was registered when I bought it.
Runs and drives but brakes need work as usual. Motor and box run perfectly.
1964/65 Teardrop parts car (originally Roman Red)- 4 speed manual. Motor is complete but I have never tried to start it . Rusty in many areas. Could be saved if you are very keen.
Parts - heaps of good doors, bonetts, bootlids, bumpers, grills, door trims, boxes of smaller parts, dash parts, couple of NOS windscreens, also some smaller NOS parts. Bellett badges, Teardrop front and rear seats in original red & white trim.
At least 3 complete 1600 Bellett motors (could be 4). Was told that 1 was reconditioned. 3 manual 4 speed gearboxes all with shifters, and 1 automatic box, flywheels, starters, alternators, diff and suspension parts, sway bars, tail shafts, the list goes on.
I have no time to work on them anymore, with kids, working on my Valiants, and other priorities. At least the cars and parts have been stored undercover since I have owned them
Cheers, Rod.
