Oh THAT car.... Yeah well.
At least it means I can now sell one of mine. I'm only asking $47,000 for it.
And that's the cheap one. The one that's got the most interest is up to $285,000..... firm.

It gets even better....

Looks like $285,000 is too cheap so either I sell to someone before 9am tomorrow or the price goes up to $610,000.
After all, I'm not being greedy by honouring the original price....

Original condition, fairly good upholstery, all badges and strips in place, hubcaps, even the original radiator hose! Ok, it needs a good clean, but I'll warrant it will run, every one I've bought home with a motor in it has run.
They're only original once!!
Where would you value it? If it was a basic Datto 1600 or Mazda 1300 it would be cheap. Is a Bellett not as good?

Don't mean to be confrontational, but I think it's important not to keep talking their value down.

Cheers, Matt.

I absolutely agree with Matt, if we as the passionate enthusiasts don't think they are worth anything then how the hell will any future buyer or insurance company for that matter.
I think it's well and truly worth the $1900 he's asking. I paid $550 for a bare rolling shell (no motor, box, diff, front guards, interior or even wiring loom for that matter.... a BARE shell) then drove a 2800km round trip to collect it.

$1900 for a relatively complete tear drop sedan......... BARGIN!!!

The car posted at the beginning of this topic was originally advertised for $3900..... not $1900.
When others elsewhere commented that it was worth $39..... I offered the bloke some advice on values and was told I knew nothing and he knew it was worth a lot more.
The very next day it was price adjusted to $1900. And it still hasn't sold.
As for the one on eBay..... $10,000 for a standard sedan that needs a complete restoration is fantastic. If he gets the $10,000 he wants I'll be rapt because that's when one in particular of mine is put up for sale at $500,000.

Value i always what someone is willing to pay BUT.

Having tried to sell my tear drop and had trouble even getting $700, and it was in better shape, it comes down to Soooo many factors.

Positives are that there are still cars to be bought out there to get people into Belletts

And the more they sell for the better off we all are in the value of our cars.

Saw a show on TV the other day about classic cars. "value depends upon how many people want one"
