Express rear is a bit 'ugly' but heck, I would have one! Interesting, hydraulic clutch too. Another unique tail light.HUGE battery in the Bellel !

   | Agree with all your comments, column shift also! I would suggest very well restored. _________________

   | Yep, thats a very pretty page indeed! And yeah, the express is more kf a Wasp van than a Bellett. Even things like the throttle linkage, roofline and radiator. I wonder if Wasps got the late dash treatment? I reckon so, we just didn't get them here. Thanks for sharing, Matt

Your proberbly right on the mark there Matty. It has bigger wheel arch radius on front guards and wheels like the wasp also. As far as the column shift goes.... I wonder if the sedan column linkages will swap straight onto a wasp?? I know the columns are a little different but I wonder if that would effect the gear linkages between the variants. Perhaps the later dash was grafted in, but to me it wouldn't have made sense not to have made later versions of the Wasp and/or Express for their domestic market at least._________________

   | Hey guys,
Yeah Wasps and Expresses did get the later dashes in line with the sedans.

This car is owned by Isuzu's museum/history branch.

As is the Bellel, which is a US-spec Bellel Diesel, I think.

   | Sorry not a US-spec Bellel Diesel (RHD) but I remember reading a guy in the States with access to parts (may have been Alan Fasik or his dad) helped with NOS parts that were ex-USA. _________________My latest automotive articles and original content shared here:https://www.facebook.com/garageofawesomeStreet Machine! | On that note, the Chevrolet LUV is US-spec! LHD and not badged as a Faster! Whoah!
Actually I think from a preservation perspective, they would have been better off with the Faster; plenty of mint LUVs in the USA, but I bet the Faster is thin on the ground in Japan!

   | As Dave said..... Yes, they got the later dash. Pic is from an original, brand new glovebox book. Only one known. Attachment:
