OK, he's home!
Any offers of parts to complete the suggested GT-R build?
Photos tomorrow, to dark and rainy now.
Rainy! Yep, Rainy! A wet trip home this evening, torrential at times, but I didnt mind at all, just crawled along, so great to see.
A brief look shows this sample is much better than expected.
Cheers, Matt.

stretch the cab a bit, GT doors, and make a cool (and comfortable) Wasp.......

Put the cab (with a 50mm lifted mounts ) on a 4 WD LUV chassis , some appropriate widened steel wheels (which it appears that you already have ) , a couple of small mudguard flares and a mild motor upgrade and you would have an excellent, unique , early Isuzu orientated farm vehicle that would go forever and really would not cost much. Keep the original Wasp colours and even so called experts would be trying to work out if it was a "one off " import or not.

Luv chassis is 3 inches wider than a Wasp, so will be alot more than a body swap.
Wasp GT-R..... As in a twin cam Wasp..... Seen that somewhere before.

I realise that the LUV chassis is wider . . If the cab is lifted a couple of inches it gives you room to fabricate some offset mounts and also generally makes it easier rather harder to modify and make other bits fit. Fixed size cabs onto different width chassis' has been used by truck manufacturers for many years. Locally Bedford, International, Dodge in the past and Isuzu and others still do it today . It is a cheap easy way to utilise existing parts. Just recently I saw a 1935? White multi door bus body fitted to a current model Ford (F350?) chassis and running gear. A Wasp with a lifted cab and wider track as well as 4WD would look pretty tough.

Lots of good ideas here, and all involve saving this little wagon. Thats nice. All I lack is the time and the cash
But that might not always be the case, and it will be safe here until then, and if someone wants to start a project in the meantime, then you know where to come!
It is a surprisingly sound and straight cab, and looks as though someone has rubbed all the paint off to paint it, but didn't go on with it. Really, its just missing a motor, gearbox and doors, and I have plenty of those. The rounded window frames are probably all I dont have.
I realise that your Wasp is GTRified Brett, but that is a desirable way to go. That would be fun, especially cause I'm short!
But 4 wheel drive, with a KB diesel, and a tipper body? Yeah!
Cheers, Matt.

Ironic that he should have an automatic Bellett grille, and is just 22 units older that the white one on the chassis number.

Will you look at that...

Original crank handle, still in place!!
None of the others have theirs. Its longer than a Bellett one to reach the spare wheel carrier.
Having a closer look, the floor is 100% solid. There is a tiny hole in the right sill, and a 7cm hole in the left one, but thats all. None in the roof or screen bed etc. I reckon someone was starting a tidy up, with the Bellett bits, but stopped after rubbing the paint off the cab. Looks bad, but its all just surface.
That tray is even ok.

Its sitting up because its not attached. The mudguards are in the wrong place, so its up on wood blocks. After a clean up, it will go on Shrek, as his is cactus.

hi neal it is stored in the boot on the rhs there is a pic on here somewhere there are 2 clip holes the ones as you see in farmers wasp it runs in conjunction with the car towards the driver (hard to explain) also as you know you will need the dog on the motor should you wish to crank it ...the ''dog''i think its called screws into the crank pulley I have a spare one of those as my 90 has the dog if you need one ..got mine of farmer time back ..also you will need the swinging number plate ...I will look on here for pics cheers davo
