No idea to be honest.......will ask in next email :D

....Interesting to see what is available in Japan and more surprised the GT-R headlight surrounds and GT grills (as in the first post) are still available....If they were Prince or KPGC10 items they would fetch serious dollars....

Hey All

Has anyone tried Shinwa Jidosha & Classic Car Nagoya?
http://www.n-classiccar-jp.com/english

I've emailed them looking for headlight trim and received a quick answer in English, even though they didn't find anything there they'd look for me, (but added it would be hard to find) ... :(

Mark try dick he may have 1 his website shows a 68 grill if they are the same as sedan. Next port of call would be yahoo japan we have a couple of company's here in aus that convert it to english i am sure someone in the states would do the same (this is no cheap way to purchase items but when you are desperate :P ) if you do search yahoo try searching 1600gt,pr## ect if you try bellett you will not get many hits.

yes that headlight surround, a special piece that is!
I've considered changing the whole grille, too bad this style Bellett or the Bellett B's never left the main land which makes it that much more hard to find.

havent exhausted all possibilties, had the other side piece to the best metal shop in Tampa, but they cannot reproduce metal is too thin guage.

since I have the other side for a copy I may consider doing something in plastic .. there's got to be a way .... ;)

I'll make another post for that item, you never know what you'll find on the www, a guy i know just got stationed in Japan so he will look but I think it will be a totally random find if at all....

thanks

It's not hard to make the centre console if you can get it covered by an upholsterer.

Just use aluminium sheet cut to the shapes and use angle aluminium with pop rivets (countersunk type) to hold it together. Then the front face panel can be screwed onto the rest.

If you do without the "bin" on the front, you can upholster it easily yourself, simply by wrapping vynal over the edges and glueing t it on with contact adhesive.

These would be long gone i reckon. They were advertised for sale in August 2010...

Easy enough to bring it all back in a container though - pack all the parts in the car then into a cosy 40 footer.

Sometimes foregone resto projects are the better buys.....

Should have asked sooner - sold at the Buy Now price of 2,980Y - these sorts of things with set prices go very quickly when they are a good price.

The grills and GT-R surrounds in my first post are still available. So to are the twin carbs and the front grill ornament....

Plenty of Sales literature around for the Bellett and the Neko Publishing books on the Bellett. Great books they are as well (although in Japanese) - I have the 2 Skyline GT-R ones (Part I & II) and the three Fairlady Z one (Part I, II & III)
