Re: the life of rolie
awesome pictures, Mark
I was wondering about the steering wheel? do you find it a bit of a pain compared to smaller thicker rim type? Is it within rules to chnage the wheel?

Re: the life of rolie
I have a similar Nardi type wheel to put on my Sport. I have the boss but no horn button assembly. Not quite sure how the button is made and retained etc or I could make one perhaps.

No worries Davo...it's what it's all about isn't it?.
And Glen, we are allowed to use other steering wheels, but I liked the idea of using the original, well not quite, the one in the car I got from Jeff in Scotland. I'm comfortable with it and it looks right.....and it's the sort of thing the Revival people want to see. Talking of the Revival, I got my invite for this year a little while back, so it's all smiles back at UK Bellett Central
I've got a little bit of film of Spa that Dick took, I'll try and You Tube it up on Monday and get it posted.

Hi Mark, I find mine a bit of a nuisance after driving 'modern' cars which now seem to have super thick wheels on them. So far it's been ok but i have this wheel which was actually on the car when i got it so termpted to use it sometimes then put the other back when required. Not that the car gets out much, only 3-4 times in 7 mths !
But good to hear you are invited again for an event. Well done on promoting Belletts and keeping us informed too.
(did you sort the brake issues?)

With the gloves I find it just fine, and to tell you the truth, when the lights go out you have other things on your mind.
With the brakes, we obviously won't know until we go out again, but we're going to play with different compounds and see if there's a more Bellett friendly one.
Here's the first little bit of short film that Dick took of us ready to go out, I reckon it sounds OK until the Capri next door fires up!

Another little bit of film of the car coming out into the pitlane, in the background you can see Eau Rouge climbing off into the distance.

And this one is a bit of Eau Rouge action..

Re: the life of rolie
Hiya PomB, in that short snippet of Rolie coming out of the garage I noticed the chrome trim you've got on the rear pillar just behind the back door and running to the boot.
Me likes, me likes very much. I've never seen that on a Bellett before.
Did you just make it up yourself?
Looks great (might pinch the idea for Donkey's planned new paint scheme)

Re: the life of rolie
Sticky, I think that bit of chrome's always been there....have a look at page 1 of this thread. Look at the photos Greg took of the car on the trailer, as it left Coona, it all looks pretty similar to me, but I may well be wrong.
Back to Spa, the bad news is that the gearbox is a bit more cooked than we thought. The good news is that Greg had the foresight to send me a spare in the front cut that came over with Rolie...even though it's a different bellhousing, we're hoping the internals are transferable.
Dick got another bit of film of Eau Rouge on looks like a camera with more pixies in it...

Well there you have it.
Never noticed that trim at Coona or at least I don't remember seeing it.
Looks neat just the same

Re: the life of rolie
Davo it was apart of Rolie and it belonged to Rolie it looked as it belonged. I would say a standard trim as the holes were drilled even. I cant remember Rolies vin I don't know whether he was 64 or 65 as he had both 64 & 65 badge on him and I believe it went to the uk that way ? if I remember right the 65 badge was on the grille and the 64 was on the vent in front of the windscreen. The 64 badge I assume would be rare as Mark.
