from my perspective it looks like the origional surrounds are there and that the glass has been removed and then chev luv/isuzu kb lights installed. could be wrong tough!

Yeah, I reckon thats it. The chromed plastic surrounds are separate to the original headlights, so I suppose they've worked the Luv mounts inside them. When I get it home, I'll have a closer look and get a better pic.

67GT, that photo is of a '71 model, with the grille that followed the last Aus delivered one. I have a pair of those surrounds, but no grille. Its the one fitted to the TS (Touring Sports) version too. Looks good I reckon.

Cheers, Matt.

Back from Tas and had cause to drive past today, so called in. Thursday may well be another good day, as thats when I collect the Bellett at least. Florian decision pending.
Had another look, the Bellett has intact but brittle upholstery. Are there any magic products for softening vinyl before I sit on and destroy the seats? Has intact glovebox catch (!), and appears 100% complete. No rust in sills, etc, but some in the towers.

:D :D Matt.

I think the stuff you need Matthew is called "Dubbin", it softens leather and vinyl, however may take a couple of applications.

I didnt even notice nephew, but its not wide. I did notice its fitted with a cross ply case with a radial pattern retread. I seem to think they were outlawed in 1975 or something!
So it might be some time since this one was on the road.
Cheers, Matt.

I haven't had much chance to look her over, but she is fairly complete with zero rust. The back bumper is toast, but I have another. Likewise the bent lower left wishbone. All I don't have is a numberplate light and dashpad. It has a non original drivers seat too, but I've seen VB Commodore seats fitted, and they are a real nice fit. Might have to watch for a set of those.
Frank couldnt find the keys though, so I dont know whats in the boot.
Now I will be bustin to try the motor!

Cheers, Matt. :D

Only 18 years since she was on the road!

I gotta get into the boot, but will have to go through the back seat - no boot key!

All good fun,
Cheers, Matt.
