sounds great Dave.... Probably US$ i think.
how will they send it ? Freight might be expensive.

Most of these places require payment in advance usually by Telegraphic Transfer. Your Bank can do it.... eg Comm bank charges $22... there's a catch though as the intermediate Banks will also take a cut so the receipient will receive less money and get upset! If only one Bank is in on the act, then typical charge is around another US$35
You will need to factor all this in. Perhaps also keep the total under $1000 to avoid Customs getting in on the act also ! Customs fees, taxes, GST etc......

My best guess is keep the number under 7-8 pieces.?

If your going through Alibaba be very careful. 90% of it is fraud. Get a Chinese friend to call first. No guarentee but helps.

probably a bit more, Dave, as you won't get the TV news exchange rate. More like 2-3 cent less.

Seems like fair pricing if it is all legitimate.

I was interested more in whether they are being manufactured rather than whether the pumps are old. I agree, there shouldn't really be any deterioration over time.
I tried Alibaba but no one would sell me a handful, all wanted minimum orders of 500 or so.

Even asked for a sample, provided an ABN and explained I may buy several but was knocked back. It looks like you were luckier.

Hi Guys,
I must have missed this thread when it came up. What was the outcome on these pumps ?

Also I have found on e-bay some water pump rebuid kits. They are Asahi brand, with a part number R-221. According to the picture they are for G150 and G161 engines, with PR20, PA20 and PR91 all specifically listed.
