Re: Temp Sender Unit/Oil Pressure switch

Hi Peter,
I don’t know the part numbers, but Bursons do have listings for the thermostat. Trident brand I think.
As for the sender switch, I would take the old one in to them to get matched up. Assuming you have the original?
If your local doesn’t list Bellett or Florian, get them to try Chev Luv.

Hi Flying,
That’s exactly what I need. When I click on the link it gives me a picture only. How do I get to purchase this?

Re: Manifold gasket

Hi All,
It looks like these gaskets no longer exist anywhere. According to my local Repco guys there’s a company in Melbourne who make special orders. I am worried about posting my old gasket down there as I have no backup plan if it gets damaged or lost in the post.
Is there anyone in Melbourne who ...

Manifold gasket

Hi all,
Does anyone have or know where I can get a manifold gasket to suit a Florian head?
My Wasp blew the head gasket last week, which I have a replacement for, but I don’t have a manifold gasket and the current one has been reused a few times already.
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Re: Gasket sets?

Glenn,
There is a gasket set on eBay at the moment which shows the part number as “FKS 1066K”
Looks like the brand could be Cherry, and it’s made in Japan.

Re: Wasp Windscreens Queensland

Glenn,
I did get the screen for my Wasp from Moran Glass. I can confirm it is the same as the early Bellett screen. Also when I first enquired about it they were out of stock, but it wasn’t a problem to order one in from the factory.

Re: Wasp Windscreens Queensland

Hi Dean,
Moran glass can supply them. They are made overseas now though.
Glenn is trying to secure some too, but they need some measurements to differentiate between the early and later models.
I don’t have my Wasp to measure, but if you can help they need the height in the centre and the width at ...

Personal remarks

At the risk of being banned I think a few things need to be said.

Firstly, I did read the posts from both a member and an administrator. Yes the personal attacks went both ways. So no moral high ground can be claimed.

As for the frustration that lead to the initial comments, I can completely ...

Where are you located?
I got most of my rubbers for my Wasp from a place in St Marys NSW a few years ago

Re: Paint Codes

Kenny’s Automotive Paints used to have all the Bellett paint codes. Not sure if they still exist but they were oin Smithfield on The Horsley Drive.
Kevin will know them.

Looks great, but is that an early model engine? Possibly even a 3 main bearing.

Hi Chris,
I don't know how I missed this thread before, but I have just gone back and read it from page one. Nice project, and a great job so far.

With regards to your inter-cooler dilemma, I remember a GT that was in the NSW Bellett car club running a twin cam turbo with either the oil cooler ...
